Snow days- No better day for Endurasoak

As many of you may know, the east coast was completely blanketed with snow over the weekend. We were cooped up all day Friday through Sunday, just watching helplessly as the snowflakes continued to pile up en-mass as far as we could see. Finally on Sunday we'd decided it was time to go out and explore the wintery wonderland, and force the dogs off the plush couch (yes, they are allowed on the couch...don't judge), and in to the cold white stuff they absolutely loathe.

I ended up running 8 miles total, which was quite a pounding on my legs trudging through the snow. It reminded me of running on the soft sand at the beach, though I had a hard time trying to trick myself in to pretending it was the beach. My subconscious knew better. I was amazed at how jovial everyone was that ventured outside on Super Bowl Sunday to play in the snow. No one does that after an intense rainstorm, or any other severe weather condition for that matter. There's just something about 3 feet of snow piled up in the road that makes people go a little silly. I've got to say, I like silly. Even our snow-hating dogs had a good time, as did the kids who were running around screaming their silly little heads off at the sight of our great danes and their playful romp.

After the run my legs were pounding, and felt a bit like drumsticks in a cooler. As per my usual post-run routine, I drew a warm bath and added the Rosemary & Peppermint Endurasoak magic. I could've stayed in there all day. Only the aroma of the spicy chili on the stove pulled me out of my trance.

Run Fast. Recover Faster.

  1. Our Sunday was spent very much alike. Run....but my roads were mostly clear, and then a very long soak in the tub with Rosemary and Peppermint Endurasoak (oh and the hunger for our famous Honaker chili).
